For most website SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is the single most important aspect. In brief, SEO is your website’s position in search engine results. For example, if you’re a candle shop in Norwich and a user searches for ‘Norwich Candles’ in Google, what position your website is in the search results reflects how good your SEO is. Obviously, everybody wants to be top for their chosen phrases or search terms, especially for the biggest search engine, Google, but getting there is a long and tricky process.

Large corporations will spend millions employing SEO specialists ensuring their product comes top of the search results, yet it is often something that is completely overlooked in smaller businesses and for smaller sites. This shouldn’t be the case, with a properly run SEO campaign your website should see significant improvements in visitor traffic, helping to give you the edge of your competition.

How do I get there?

There is no trick, backdoor or quick way to influence search positions. In fact, it is actually a fairly simple process, build your site to WSC standards, have interesting, relevant and dynamic content, use social media, and link build. Of course if you have no experience in these matters it can be very daunting and quite easy to make a mistake.

They are fairly simple principles, and no big secret, but take a lot of time to implement correctly. SEO is our speciality, we have several success stories under our belt, and we have the knowledge and dedication to manage your SEO campaign.

Black Hat, Grey Hat & White Hat

There are many companies or individuals out there that will guarantee top ranking in X amount of weeks or a certain amount of inbound links etc. Many of these employ what are known as ‘Black Hat’ or ‘Grey Hat’ techniques. These are techniques that are strictly condemned by search engines, for example key word stuffing, and if your site is caught using them it could be removed from search engine results altogether, having a very detrimental effect on web traffic for you.

We only ever employ ‘White Hat’ techniques, or in other words, techniques that are completely approved or recommended by search engines, ensuring you get the best results for your site without any danger of getting blacklisted.
